2017 Workshop on SMSA

Following the successful previous workshops, the conference will put together recent advances and trends in areas related to stochastic modeling, statistical inference and their applications. Contributions motivated by or addressing issues in engineering, industry and natural sciences are particularly welcomed, as several focused sessions are devoted to such topics. The workshop aims at facilitating the exchange of research ideas, stimulating collaboration and promoting young researchers.

The 2017 workshop will take place at the Humboldt University of Berlin, February 20th to 24th.

Publication Outlet

We are organizing a special issue of the journal Applied Stochastic Models in Industry and Business
The journal, especially known in North America, prefers papers providing solutions for real world problems. It is well connected to first tier American industrial research institutions such as IBM Research or Yahoo, which are also represented in the Editorial Board. Submissions to the special issues should contain an application to a real problem or discuss the potential for doing so, e.g. by means of a simulation study or a thorough discussion. Further details including deadlines etc. will be provided later.
